Hasn't anybody noticed that the video is flipped?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: One Month

Recommend Product: NO

iChat displays the video like in a mirror. Everything is flipped and it sucks. It is not iSight, it is the iChat software that has this bug. I used iSight with BTV video captue software and allthouhg the quality is not as good, the video shows the right way.
Apple wants to sell this product for professional video conferencing, but they didn't realize that, for example, you want to show a client something that has text in it, but they won't be able to read it since it is flipped over.
This is a major bug but nobody seems to realize it. Specially after shelling out $150 on iSight.
Hopefully iChat AV Final will have this problem fixed.

Cheers

Video is supposed to be flipped... - JoeMegibow

Pat- It is not flipped on the receivers side (I've tested this -- just ask the person on the other side). I've used older videocams that don't flip on the local side and it is VERY disorienting when you move your head left and on the screen it goes right. We are so used to looking in a mirror, that it is much more comfortable to present the local image the same way.

This only happens in your video preview. the other person doesn't see the mirrored image. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93252
