However, there is definitely room for improvement. Being an avid user of LaunchBar on the Mac, it is fairly easy to see Rock-it's shortcomings. I will touch upon a few...

* The Microsoft .Net Framework v1.1 - This needs to be installed first which is a major PITA! Having to download a separate 23MB installer and then going through the agony of waiting for the .NET installer to finish was almost a deal breaker. Had I not been pining for a Windows version of LaunchBar for many, many months, I would not have gone past go. I'm guessing this is a restriction of the programming language used, but still a big annoyance none-the-less.

* No Assignable Keyboard Shortcuts - I would love to see this implemented. In my case I would like to use Alt+Spacebar to keep in line with my LaunchBar settings at home, but in general more configurability lets everyone use it the way they want it to work, instead of retraining old habits or needing to learn new ones.

* Rough User Interface - The UI could use some spit and polish. The text input field is a solid blue rectangle with no cursor, it doesn't keep in line with typical Windows input fields. This makes it less recognizable that you are OK to begin typing. Not hard to figure out if you know how the app is supposed to work, but a newbie might be confused. Also, the Rock-It window takes up too much screen real-estate. The program preferences can all be put together, accessible by a single "Options" button. I would imagine the window chrome could also be removed as this is supposed to be a keyboard launcher - no need for minimize etc, buttons or a title bar. Just give it a small grab spot to move it, and a resize tab on the bottom corner.

Erm... well, I have more but I need a break from typing.

All-in-all this is good start to bringing an indispensable time-saving tool over to an OS that could really use it. The effort is very appreciated... and with a bit more work would be one of the killer Windows utilities.
