Why DAVE?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: YES

Disclaimer .... In my case, I really do "work" for Thursby.

Fact .... Mac OS 10.2 does meet the basic needs of many customers.

Typically, these are the smaller home users who only need basic functionality. They are not as concerned about browsing, security, data integration, and other advanced features like DFS and Active Directories as the larger users.

Many companies will continue to run older releases of the OS for many years to come. How do you integrate these into your shared environment by only depending on Apple's offerings?

Try checking out http://www.thursby.com/products/dave-vs-jaguar.html for a basic list of the differences. You may find that Mac OS 10.2 does everything that you need.

If you are going to criticize our work, please at least try the product before passing judgment. We truly do welcome any constructive criticism. The old Yugo car did everything that many people wanted, it just happened that a large number wanted something more than basic transportation. The same is the case for DAVE.

Why DAVE? - blueskymining

Thanks Bill, Wow! Cool to hear from the publisher!

While Apple "FAN-atcis" seem to think that they know EVERYTHING, and that their beloved buggy OS does EVERYTHING (perhaps in their cozy little home Net) it doesn't in a real-world business environment (and I don't like having to defend what I do and know from that angle and a living).

DAVE does what a business needs; if you don't want to buy it, that's YOUR "business". It's like turning off the TV argument. Just bashing it cause your a Cupertino Kool-Aid Drinker, isn't the point, it's from experiences WITH IT, whether at a business, school or even at home.
