The path is not really hardcoded; it just defaults to /sw/bin/xmahjongg since most users seem to be using Fink. You can change it in Prefs to whatever is right for your system. And if you have PATH setup properly, then just enter "xmahjongg" and it will be found. Note that the PATH setup in shell rc files (eg .bashrc) doesn't apply to GUI apps; you need to setup the .MacOSX/environment.plist instead.
