I have wondered for ages how to capture streaming audio so I could listen to it at times that suit me. WireTap is the way!

Two comments:
1. Users need to beware that WireTap captures all sound output, including beeps, new mail sounds, etc. as well as what you want to record.

2. I wish the AppleScript support would allow you to specify a file name to record into, or at least allow you to retrieve the name of the file it is writing to so you can rename it to something sensible.
