The BSA monitors every BitTorrent transfer made on the net. If you have used BitTorrent for an illegal transfer, your IP is probably known to the BSA and you have been branded as a software pirate. They are issuing reports to providers and demanding identities and that service be discontinued. And they're not the only ones. There are a large number of complaints about our users downloading / sharing items over bit torrent and the BSA finding them.

How Is This Possible? - LeonardShelby

I have read the newsgroup and it provides no details on your assertion; it merely expands on this baseless rumor. Furthermore, I don't believe the BSA is capable of "tracking" BT users, for it would not be possible due to BT's non-central server structure (unlike Napster, Hotline, Carracho, KDX, or IRC). This reeks of fear-mongering.
