IRC'ing the Painful Way

Feedback Type:  Review

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: One Day

Recommend Product: NO

The Good News: it runs decently for being written in the despicable java language, and it has tabs. The Bad News: this is probably the worst IRC client I have ever used, and that would include those lame web-based clients. Ircle and Snak are far superior clients.

IRC'ing the Painful Way - HotSoup

Oh, and if you think java is a 'despicable' language judging from Limewire, it's time you got educated.

IRC'ing the Painful Way - ChiperSoft

I really don't think it's fair to compair a one week old pre-1.0 irc client with the 4 year old Snak or the nearly decade old feature bloated Ircle.

For crying out loud, show some fairness to the guy.

Comparisons - LeonardShelby

Since the author claimed he wrote this dubious client "to provide a suitable IRC client for Mac OS X", it is reasonable, if not obvious, to compare it to the other clients.
