It seems handy to have every disk you have cataloged (enabled or disabled in prefs) on eject
and all fixed hard drives on shutdown
now you have to do it all manually and thats bothersome (and I admit I do forget it)

But it is already there!!! Use AppleScript to have CDFinder catalogue any disks you want at launch or shutdown! Read the Users Guide, Section appleScript, for examples. The Script menu already contains a sample, too...
