Terra = Earth! - MacOO7

From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913):

Terra \Ter"ra\, n. [It. & L. See Terrace.]
The earth; earth.

Terra = Unites States? - moofster

It's called "Terrabrowser" because it is a front end to the "Terra Server" which Microsoft runs. If you have a problem with the name, complain to them!

Terra = United States? - Hans Marks

There is no need to persist in the errors of Microsoft (who won't listen anyway ;-).

I was just trying help improve a piece of software by pointing out an error which occurs too often lately. Some US people seem to think that the entire internet is US territory where US laws apply, US units of measurement are sufficient and where the only currency is US dollars, etc.

Terra = United States? - R3z

As someone already pointed out - Terra = Earth. Not all of us are that egocentric - after all, we can't bomb anyone if there's nobody but us...
