What a surprise, Logitech actually releasing an OS X driver for their Quickcam 4000. As someone who bought the Quickcam 3000 over a year ago and shortly thereafter moved to OS X, it has been a frustrating experience dealing with this company. Despite several e-mails (and repeated promises of a OS X driver to be released "soon"), Logitech has yet to come out with an OS X driver for the 3000. This has been a wasted investment for me as it is ridiculous having to move down to OS 9 every time I want to use the Quickcam. How hard can it be to put out a driver more than a year after claiming it is under development?
Shame on you, Logitech.

I just got a QuickCam 3000 cheap from someone disappointed by Logitech's lack of System X support. Looking on the Web for third party drivers, I found the following. I'm currently using the Sourceforge driver and link, and Video Viewer, and will try the IOXpert driver when I upgrade (currently at 10.2.0).=====
IOXperts Webcam Driver 1.1 for Mac OS X 10.2.8 or newer
Download the trial version for free. Buy it for $19.95.

also of interest:
Video Viewer for Mac OS X 10.2 or higher
works fine with the Sourceforge Quicktime app link
Download to try. $9 to buy. Can show in window, fullscreen, or as desktop!
