Well, everytime I restart or log in, I get this desktop reminder that there is a 1.6 version available. So, (like a good little doobie) I click to download, and it downloads... But wait- I am still in version 1.5.! So, every day I download the new version (because the little dialogue box comes up regularly asking me to download). and every day I download... and I am still on 1.5 no matter what I do. I am sure there's a way to do this, but I am not a computer Master tech person. So I write to customer support... and that is the real fun part! I guess 'cause it's free, these dudes don't lower themselves to do customer support (No real people to talk to, and no response to e-mail support requests) Now I've got to figure out how to lose this thing and get my stock Apple volume control back. If you're a computer whiz, this program would probably be great, but....

Hey, Laquidara...to get rid of the update reminder, do a "find" search (from the hard drive menu bar) for "PTHVolume", move whatever files you find to the trash. If you still want the updated version, just download it, and install it. You should be all set.Thursday, July 03 2003 @ 02:25 PM PDT

Hey- I NEVER gave this sucker FOUR stars..and now I can't even change my own comment! I want to give it two stars because it would probably be great if i could get it to work, and if I could upgrade the thing the way one normally upgrades, and if I could get some support and if I could edit my own original comment!Reply to This
