File Buddy continues to be a terrific and useful app, and it is well updated and stable, but $50 is too much for shareware, period. I registered long ago and have paid for the upgrade, but would never have paid the current price for the full version. There are too many good alternatives at a reasonable price.

This developer certainly deserves to be paid for his consistent good work, but he's not going to get high sales (or discourage piracy) by overcharging for it.
