Recommend Product: YES

maybe you can extend the program to where it can auto guide telescopes for astrophotography. As far as I can tell there are no OS X programs that do this. this would open up new possibilities on the Mac.

New feature - deasys

"...maybe you can extend the program to where it can auto guide telescopes for astrophotography. As far as I can tell there are no OS X programs that do this" There are at least two: ScopeDriver and SkyChart. Info for both is available on versiontracker.

Starry Night is expensive and doesn't really autoguide per se. Though it has scope control, that's not its strong suit. PHD Guiding is free from Stark Labs. It's Mac OS X friendly and I use it to autoguide my Orion Sirius EQ-6 from my MacBook Pro. http://www.stark-labs.com/phdguiding.html If you want to see the results of it, view my astrophotography images in my astronomy journal here: http://www.myastronomyjournal.com
