Early feedback on the print driver - it does print much more quickly than the prior version - and it seems not to need a reboot after the Mac has had a sleep. This represents such huge progress that I'm giving it 4 stars.

The install is still a pain, the previous version having to be uninstalled and the new one installed over the top; it leaves prior version printer options in Print Centre which have to be removed manually, and there's the ten-step set-up questionnaire which needs to be filled in again. But the driver does seem generally to work.
