I am scanning a negative which says "KODAK CG 400-8" on its side. In VueScan I select:
Negative Vendor = KODAK
Negative Brand = GOLD
For the "Negative type" these are the ASA 400 options: 400 Gen 1, 400 Gen 2, 400 Gen 3, 400 Gen 5, 400 Gen 6, III 400 Gen 5, Ultra 400 Gen 4, and Ultra 400 Gen 5. Which one should I choose?
Also, If I fix the exposure and film base color using the procedure described in the manual, do I still have to set the Vendor, type and brand?
