returns a message saying "The file you dropped seems not to be a proper Eudora Nickname file." when it is, in fact.

Well. I didn't see any bug reports on this. I am not a psychic, and cannot make the app work for you, if you don't take the time and report bugs back to me. E2A simply checks that the files are a) text and b) have the exact name "Eudora Nicknames". Either your file is not plain text, or the name is different.
