I can see this as being mildly useful, but only in a future release. For one, there's no built-in searching mechanism, so if you don't know the latitude and longitude of your location, you aren't going to find anything. Another big problem is that it doesn't cache image data, so you'll constantly be redownloading images that you fetched just a few seconds ago. Really unacceptable for a tool interface when it is actually slower than the web-browser.

Conclusion: Not worth it yet, but might be a good product in the future.
