Donal - your link to http://www.dreamfactoryonline.com is broken. If there is indeed a product which would make VLC work, then please post a live link. I just downloaded the thing and it runs, but spins the round rainbow cursor forever.  [Some time later...] OK - I think I can make it work, sort of - it really doesn't like Toast-generated VCDs at all, and if there's a VCD in the drive when VLC is loaded, it hangs until that disc is ejected. But after running a comercial VCD (American Beauty - with Chinese subtitles, no less - and it worked just fine), the Toast one is suddenly readable, if very, very slow - perhaps 2 fps on my new 1GHz PB G4. This is all so disappointing, but hey, 0.5.x is early beta, right? 3 stars this time, to offset the one star I gave it before, because as it stands it's worth 2 since it isn't working with home VCDs. Sort that out, and it may warrant the stellar ratings so many others have given it. By the way, Mplayer doesn't run any of my VCDs. Neelsen - are you straying way off-topic here, or can you make Mplayer play VCDs?
