Reply to MelvinG8 from developer: The smoothness of video capture depends on what sound and video compression settings you are using. If you capture the DV video in BTV with the video compression set to 'DV' and the sound compression set to 'None' it should capture as smoothly as iMovie does. If you are using other compression settings then frames may be dropped due to the additional processing required. A Carbonized app IS a native OS X app.
