The freenet jar file can actually be run from essentially any location. Freenet uses relative paths so it only touches the directory the jar file is in (unless you tinker with the config file). The Mac OS client is the same one for linux. When I wrote the config panel, I had to engineer in some realtime n's instead of Mac's standard r's to make everything work. Even if you don't install Freenet Controller, download Freenet and give it a go. ...Joey
