The new interface is nice, but one long-standing prob hasn't been fixed. Playing any kind of file, the audio is scratchy and distorted. This persists on different comps with different CPUs and different OS versions. Also, now when I try to play a file, vlc locks up the entire system with the beachball and a hard reboot is required. I've liked it in the past, though.
