And Canon: what about the toolbox? It's not possible to use it in classic mode and switch to Photoshop in OS X 'cause PS will not see the scanner. Plug USB out and in: Classic toolbox comes to front, PS will not see the scanner and so on, and so on. I think thats not even poor marketing from canon (ok buy a new one if you want full function for OS X. I own this very old modell D2400U; the "new" 8000F is only a tiny variation of this one...) this must be dullness or laziness. Three stars for a late but working driver, two stars minus for the swindle on Canons website (toolbox "download here" for month with a link to the classic version and now an easy "not available")
