I don't know what's going on but for me this version of the Scanjet software works flawlessly with my HP 3530c on 10.2.3 and now also 10.2.4! Only thing you should disable is the scanjet application running in the background since it seems to eat up cpu power after a while. And since this software is only necessary to make the buttons on the scanner work (which I never use anyways) it's quite unnecessary to have running. I didn't expect this scanner to work so perfectly under OS X and was already calculating in the buy of VueScan to make it work. To my surprise all (and there's quite a lot) the software included is really nice and absolutely adequate to get the results you want. I don't feel that I wasted a single euro-cent on this scanner! Thumbs up to HP!
