To my surprise,…

To my surprise, downloading iSync with Software Update turned off my currently operational conduits without my knowledge so my Mac was not synchronizing the calendar and address book with the palm. BAD! I use my palm to sync my work calendar (Outlook 2K on WinNT) with my Home Mac and I found I had missing appointments. BAD! It should not make changes to my machine without my permission. See Apple Knowledge Base Article 61856: "Installing the iSync Conduits for Palm automatically turns off conduits the installer believes may conflict with the iSync conduit." "When you use the iSync Palm Conduits installer, it will assume that you want to use iSync to synchronize your Palm calendar, address book, and to do list with iCal and Mac OS X Address Book."
