first, the nag in the current versions doesn't stop the app from working.. second, if a developer is small, but doing an excellent job, then it's appropriate to ask for financial support before the product is finished , since finances may be an obstacle to the product ever being completed (think of it as an investment).. third, if you are using the app, just go to the support forums (via the help menu) and you'll find a much more appropriate (and friendly) forum for hashing out the issues.. finally, my rating -- Acquisition has some quirks, but it works extremely well, and i do trust the developer to continue his already excellent record of steady improvements.. i am hoping the app 1) becomes scriptable, and 2) allows more complex search parameters (rather than single keywords) (to the person asking about "2.1G" that's supposedly 2.1 billion files available through a certain host, however hosts reporting "2.1G" are lying -- they aren't really giving access to that many files.. gnutella is a cooperative network, but there will always be cheaters and or software bugs distorting the information. as i understand it, all the numbers are at best approximate, and the number of hosts is sometimes more reliable than the number of files)
