The latest firmware (1.44.2z at the time of this review) works great. I'm wary of installing new firmware releases because I had one kill a router once, but this one is working fine. I get much better range than my Apple AirPort, and the interface allows more advanced port forwarding thany my NetGear (UDP only, TCP only, both, etc.)
