The product is great, better results than Gimp Print for Epson 1520 and 3000. The price stinks. So I will stay with Gimp Print until epson makes an offical driver or iProof changes their price.

Pricing - iProofSoftware

Gimp is a solution for users not requiring Accurate Color Matching, which is what iProof offers with their PostScript software products and therefore justifies the pricing for our products. Without a color matching feature, the cost of match prints could be substancial.

PoweRIP X and Epson StylusRIP - Chris!

If you are waiting on a Epson RIP compatible with G5s and Panther, you're in for a very long wait. Below is an email from Epson:

"I am sorry to inform you that EPSON currently do not have a Stylus Rip that
runs on Mac OS 10.x, if you have a older Mac we recommend that you load it
with Mac os 8.6 - 9.2 and install the RIP on it so you can run it as a RIP
server.

Kindest regards

EPSON Sales
EPSON Australia Pty Ltd

I've had a look and downloaded the demo of PowerRIP X and it fully supports G5s and Panther and is better than the Epson RIP. Price is compatible, though still hefty at AUD$583

Below is the www for the PowerRIP X demo:

Thanks,
Chris!
