MacEuph: Thanks for your comments. OmniWeb is a great app -- we highly recommend it. But Simon's "Smart Change Detection" feature is more flexible. With Simon, you can specify a portion of a page to monitor, and so concentrate on the bit you care about, ignoring incidental changes like banner ads etc. We use this feature in several ways in-house, e.g. to monitor the number of downloads from VersionTracker. It just watches the "Downloads this version" value periodically, and uses a Speech notifier to say, for example, "Simon downloads: 73 now downloaded." Very convenient. There are many other examples, e.g. checking for webmail, seeing if your favorite comic has been updated, etc.
