rickey939: The behavior you're referring to isn't a bug, it wasn't a programming error. Files and folders created by users have read-only group permissions by default because it's a privacy concern otherwise. Otherwise you could save files into your Public folder in your home folder and people could edit them when you wouldn't want them to (unless you manually changed group permissions). While this makes shared group work a bit of a manual process and a pain, what you're looking for is a feature change/addition, not a bug fix.
