I am amazed that people are complaining here about VueScan. I switched to this software as Polaroid did not see fit to produce an update to their software for older scanners that they made several years ago. i would have been glad to buy that but they themselves recommended VueScan! It crashes occasionally but with OS 10xxx it is no big deal. The main thing I find with this software is that it is faster than the original software. I can scan a roll of film of 24 images in about 45 minutes including colour correction.. very good indeed. I cannot speak for fake alias entries but I can assure you this is not one of them. As well, I have never had the experience of not being able to update the software.
