The promise: convert your vinyl to CD with ease! The reality: if you want to do a good job, you'll have to spend at least a few hours to transfer and clean up and burn and create a label, etc. In the end, you'll probably still have surface scratch noise. Is it really worth all that to save, oh, 12 to 14 bucks? I guess so, if your time is only worth two or three bucks an hour, and you don't care about the end result as much. For myself, I've decided it's worth the money to have a CD already made for me, usually from the original master, with the jewel case, liner notes, etc. Of course, if the DRM b.s. continues, that's another consideration...
