well, 8675309_Jane you DO sound like you have done a thorough comparison and have really installed MacASP to do some testing. But then, why is PHP so slow compared to MacASP, specially when it comes to DB access??? Now, I'v tried MacASP in many ways (I think) and found out that MacASP had allways a solution to work around a dynamic page problem or about anything unusual your imagination might want you to do and -tempel- DB access is just fine (I'v tried it with ODBC, SQL server using dbGateway, and native data base as well). Beside that, who cares to have real compatibility with Microsoft ASP when you use a Mac Server (that's what MacASP is made for)... Personnaly, after what I've seen from MacASP and if I wanted to switch to a PC server that wouldn't stop me.
