APE nuked my OS X 10.2 machine. After I restarted, suddenly all my startup apps kept crashing. I could not get to the desktop. Others have reported similar problems with apps crashing. When I opened the Force Quit box, I saw multiple copies of the Finder spawning themselves. EXTREMELY buggy. I like the unsanity guys, they know what people want and know how to make good UI elements. But sometimes, they push things too far. But making OS X unstable just to get some functionality back from OS 9 is just not worth it. I'll find other ways to work if I have to. "Application Enhancers cannot affect the core system - they operate on an application level, therefore, they cannot cause a whole Mac OS X system to crash.": if they require this disclaimer message on their main ACE site, then obviously something bad is going on with a lot of people. I'll wait till they iron it out before installing Xounds again.
