sPiEr: PowerGlot does not take the liberty to modify the format of your files. So if your file is Mac-Roman instead Unicode, PG does not change it. Store your English text files in Unicode and you'll be all set. But this is a good one, next version will make the file Unicode if targeting a 2-byte encoding.
