Some more information: A friend with 16MB / Radeon video hardware on a Titanium PowerBook who uses a second external screen regularly just informed me that the program indicates active acceleration with just the built-in screen but no acceleration on both screens when the second one is active. And the mouse pointer shadow is there *all the time*.
