From my experience, this should be renamed VirtuallyWorthless. The OSX version crashes frequently, and both OS9 and OSX versions stall. Tech support 's first response was extremely rude, and when I provided more information about problems I was having with the program, they never wrote back. The program is poor at recovering files as well--probably a 99% failure rate in my case--you'd be better off using Norton Utilities and saving some money, because the result couldn't be any worse.

Especially the crashing.Of course, in every response, their tech support was rude, not just the first, and so was their legal department. I am planning to open a blog on my (highly trafficked) web site soon and I have every intention of sharing the experience I had with their company. They actually promised me a refund (one service rep told me I was getting a partial refund and another told me a full) and then never delivered. They without a doubt epitimize a far older model of internet commerce, one that rests on the couch of the idea that, because you're "online," you can be as rude as you want and have no accountability. Well, the accountability, my friends, is in the wallet. While they have my money once, because they did not deliver on the refund they promised, they will certainly never get more of it, and, I'm afraid, I have told an awful lot of IT managers about my experience and they were horror struck. I don't imagine they'll be using this software either. I alerted them to the vast improvements in Norton's, which really saved my files where Virtual Lab failed miserably.
