I take back my 4 stars! This program has many flaws when compared to Fire. In fact, I have switched back to Fire for now. I can explain all the problems I'm having, but I don't have the time for that, however I will list just a few. 1) In the preferences, I can have Proteus come to the foreground or not when someone IM's me and no matter if it's checked or not, the message window STILL comes to the front. 2) Several buddies on my Yahoo can't see me and niether can I see them. Works fine in Fire. 3) Stability. Proteus is not as solid as Fire. I truly wish the developers of Proteus and Fire got together to make a kick ass IM app. Especially so they could stay in the race when iChat comes out!
