Jay and Tyaris, I wasn't talking about network servers when referring to the firewall, I was talking about the one that's built into the copy of OS X that's running on your Mac. Mine was rejecting requests to port 453, and I suspect lots of folks have the firewall up and don't know it. A simple change in Brickhouse (or ipfw if you prefer to do it terminal wise) and you're set. In any case, now it lets me mount shares that were seemingly blocked though I had access to them. Tweak the UI a bit and it'll be nice! Perhaps integrate it more into the finder...
