I just wanted to let all of you know, if you take the drive out of the QPS enclosure, and put it in a firewire enclosure it works just fine. I put mine in a Macally enclosure (part # CA-805FWC) and I couldn't be happier. You can get these, and other similar enclosures, for less than $100, which is cheaper than buying a new external drive. This also allows you to upgrade in the future by just buying an internal drive. I'd also like to point out that this fixes the problem of only being able to burn music CDs at 2x, since that was a limitation imposed by USB. I know we shouldn't have to go to these measures to get this thing to work, but why wait for QPS to start supporting their own merchandise? This solution works, and is available now. (Like I said, I couldn't be happier.)
