I do agree with chmod007. The freeware OpenUp is always the best GUI solution for expanding tgz tar and zip (and other types of) files but not StuffIt Expander : StuffIt Expander won't support long file names (more than 32 characters) and will replace some original long names with 32 characters truncated names.
