I've no claims to the new version being faster or slower...but several legacy plug-ins refuse to work in 10 that worked fine in 9.0.2, particularly Vector Effects, without which I find my Illustrator design effectiveness is crippled. Anybody else found this issue...Corel is unreachable (bought VE and don't support it well), any workarounds? Adobe isn't saying much.
