Bought the GIMP CD, and I'll likely buy this one as well. Why? Because hundreds of megs of files at 56K takes up more of my time than $30 worth. Not to mention installation and configuring. The GIMP CD installed in less than 30 seconds, one minute later I was using it. Yes, I've downloaded and installed fink and other open source software before, it's easy to do. BUT it's not THIS easy or fast. BTW Jeshua is an active member, and he's got quite good service too if you have any trouble.
