How to update if you have install errors for PP/Excel 98 Macro Vulnerability version : First, Trash old copies of PP & Excel from your 'MS Office 98' application folder (Keep the prefs). Then drag/copy over fresh copies of PP & Excel from your original Install Disk to replace the ones you just trashed. Then apply all updates in strict Date Order, oldest ones first, (Hint: Some of the six Old updaters don't affect PP & Excel) and then it will FINALLY accept this vulnerability bug fix. This same identical bug appears in ALL versions of MS Office, and this barely patches an old serious flaw and vulnerability.
