New Version! Now, burns CDs using Toast! Same thing SoundJam has been doing on my system for about 2 years. It's quite interesting that unsupported software like SoundJam is still superior. You may have seen my earlier post before, so I was a bit nervous about trying Audion again. After downloading, I opened an MP3, simple task. Nothing complicated, didn't want to push the limits yet. It played, I started to play with some of the features like echo. Audio stuttered, Audion locked up, force quit, system locked, force reboot. After the restart, I increased the memory allocation, played an MP3, tried to adjust the EQ, this time after Audion died, I WAS able to force quit only to have my system lock 10 seconds later. Audion went in the trash. Forgive me for not having the patience to put up with this 2 more times as was the case with v2.5. When Audion actually played the MP3 (for a full 30 seconds) the base sound quality was far superior to any other MacOS player. I think the sound quality issue is there because most people don't like to tinker with the settings. I do. SoundJam has a very flat sound, then I adjust the EQ (it works) and Realizer. The result is quality far superior to Audion. I agree with a previous comment about wanting a player that is still supported, and I have high hopes for future releases of Audion, but I refuse to pay for software this unstable. Regarding comments by "milk": No software problems here, SoundJam works, iTunes works, MacAst works, even WinAmp for Mac works. My computer stays on 24/7 with reboots only for new software/hardware installation. I am a fanatic about maintaining my computer and anything that has crashed more than two times goes in the trash, period. Bottom line. I will accept nothing less. I would love to try future versions of Audion, but if they continue down this road of instability, I won't even bother with the download. If it is stable, and works, I will buy.
