I use Jade almmost every day. It is by far the fastest and most fault-tolerant JPEG viewer for the Mac and has been for years. Its simplicity of use, effective application of virtual memory, extensive prefs, impressive slide show, and filing options put it so far over the top of any other lightweight image viewing app out there for mac or windows. It's also held up very well through the last few major updates to the MacOS. The last update that versiontracker.com shows for Jade is in 1996, which would be pre-OS8, and on up through 9.04 it worked as advertised with no problems. I can't recommend JADE enough to anyone who deals with large numbers of JPEG, PICT, and GIF images and needs to quickly view and file them. It's an indispensable tool.

Help -- stuck photo - JennyZ
Initially, I loaded the Jade program and put in some pictures. Now, each time I start the program one of the pictures is always the first one shown. I cannot get rid of it, and it does not show the name (because the background is black) and I can't search for it. (Actually, it was just a screen shot I made to test the program.)I've tried aborting it and skipping it. I've thrown away the software and downloaded it again, but it is hidden away in the preferences on the computer somewhere.
What can I do to get that one picture removed from all slideshows?
Thank you in advance.
