The true inheritor of NCSA Telnet's crown, IMHO, BetterTelnet is the best client of its kind. I work for a major university's technical support division and we recommend it to all of our Macintosh users. Compared to the PC telnet programs, which aren't even freeware, it has caused us no problems. I use Chas William's Kerb5 plugin with it to access the Kerberized Telnet servers on my Linux boxes as well as the university's Solaris and HP-UX servers and it works great. I hope that when the legal issues work themselves out that it will finally be able to support SSH.
