Not very well designed, unfortunately. The detector should be made "faceless", and the scan suite should allow creation of "autocrop" profiles or at least offer presets with higher resolutions. Seems like their grabbiness got in the way of a nice product.... deliberately low-ended. The only upside is that it will, in fact, drive the scanner.
