The core of the library runs with Java 1.3 again, and will run if calls to System.getProperties() have Access Restrictions. This has resulted in a visible change to the API - StandardEncryptionHandler.setAcrobat7Security
no longer throws a javax.crypto.NoSuchPaddingException.
