After trying a couple of other website optimizer applications I decide to go with Web Site Maestro. The interface is slick and intuative and the learning curve is painless.
The improvements in V 5.2.2 and the quality of support are excellent. With the "smart handling" and one click "optimize and upload" features, there is nothing else out there to touch it!
The author's other optimizer applications are of the same calibre but the extra cost of Web Site Maestro is a small price to pay for someone like me who changes web pages like the wind. I cannot believe how much time this app. has saved me.
If you have more than one website and update them on a regular basis, then Web Site Maestro is a "must have".

I've been using Web Optimizer / Web Site Maestro for a couple months now and all I can say is that it has been invaluable to me for my websites and those of my organization. We have one very large site (500+ pages) that needs to be accessible to our farmer consultants and other people on dialup connections across the USA, and our site is loaded with information so the load time of pages makes a really big difference to our users. With Web Site Maestro / Web Optimizer I achieve compression of up to 40% on our pages and our users are genuinely grateful for it. It's a great, simple to use product which does its job and does it well. After using it for a while I was convinced and I registered my copy. Bonus: the author is very helpful for all support inquiries.
You might be forgiven for being sceptical (like me) about this software and what it says it does, especially when the majority of free or cheaper tools have a tendency to leave your scripts unusable. But it really does work.
There are several intelligent things about WebSite Maestro, which appear to be small details but when put together are very powerful:
- It's made for people who are too busy or not willing to spend time configuring options.
- It's safe - it makes a copy of your webfolder, so you work with originals.
- It has routinely cut 20% off my web pages and the results in the browser are amazing.
- It optimises other scripts and images.
- The price is very reasonable for the top-of-the-range product.
- If there's a problem, the support is exemplary.
Straight 5-stars all round!
