It is rather difficult and monotonous to create html albums by hand. If you use AlbumWeb there is no need to use different graphical converters and write html code. AlbumWeb make a process of creating html-album automatic and rather exciting. The html-album can be used at your internet site, home or wherever you want it to be. Html-album created by means of AlbumWeb is a set of interdependent html-pages and pictures which can be viewed in any internet browser.

The wizard style of the program makes mastering and usage of the program easier. More than 200 options help you to get full control over the album appearance. AlbumWeb gives you an opportunity to create different albums with different appearances. It can be done using several build in themes. If necessary, you can customize them or create your own theme. This software is developed and tested under Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000/XP operating systems.

New Version Responds to Mac Problems - Version: 2.3, 5/22/2004 09:18AM PST

I can confirm that the coding problem with Mac's has been resolved with the latest version. Congratulations you guys! I rate it 5 stars, but documentation should be more thorough.

I am a webmaster for a high school and we often want to post series of pictures of school events to allow the community keep in touch with school life. AlbumWeb has made my life MUCH easier. It comes down to taking the pics, optimizing them with iView and then using AlbumWeb to create a slide show. Once you have your settings the way you want them, creating a slide show (or thumbnails/index pages) takes a couple of minutes.

A couple of beefs that I have with version 2.3 is that it does not create code that makes a slide show compatible with Mac's. As for Windows, users will have to be using the latest browsers. For example, Explorer 5.5+ will allow you to view the slide show with some very neat transitions. The only problem with that is that you want to design your site so that any (or most) browsers can take advantage of your "shows".

Check out our school for some "real" examples of AlbumWeb's potential. Please keep in mind that I have only begun experimenting with the software...
